Toby Lucas Jr.
He attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia from August 1988 to July 1992 majoring in political science and minoring in history. Mr. Lucas graduated cum laude from the Marshall University College of Liberal Arts in July of 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In May of 2003, Mr. Lucas received Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia.
Mr. Lucas was admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the Supreme Court of Virginia in October of 2003. In October 2004, he was admitted to the West Virginia State Bar, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Lucas began practicing law in Tazewell County, Virginia. He is a member of the Tazewell County Bar Association. Mr. Lucas practices primarily in the areas of real estate law, mineral law, contracts, and wills and estates. He conducts extensive mineral title examinations in southwest Virginia and southern West Virginia.
